TERIYAKI BEEF ON A STICK
1 lb. flank steak
Bamboo skewers
TERIYAKI SAUCE:
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. brown sugar or honey
1 tbsp. grated fresh ginger or 1/2 tsp. powdered ginger
1 clove crushed garlic or 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 c. mirin or saki or sweet wine
Partially freeze steak for easier cutting. Slit in 1/4 inch diagonal strips. Thread meat on skewers.
Combine sauce ingredients. Marinate 15-30 minutes. Broil in preheated broiler or grill outdoors 3-4 minutes. Baste while cooking.

Soak skewers in water before cooking to avoid burning.
